Posted by Jamie Gnebba on January 30, 2009

Every year tuition costs rise at universities and every year students find it harder and harder to come up with the money. Here, a few students talk about the hardships of paying the rising fees, what effects they have seen from the increase, and what they think should be done about it.

Below is a chart of the percentage increase of tuition for several Michigan universities in 2006.

Jamie…the audio comments are good. Try to tighten up the editing. There’s a “blip” after each soundbite…the transitions aren’t totally smooth. I like the headline. Can you write some more text to go with it so it gives me some additional context to the story?

Lastly, when you export your file out of garage band, make sure you move the purple line to the end so that your clip ends at the right spot. We seem to have some “dead” sound at the end of your clip.

Pretty good effort…just work on those few things.

You got some great quotes, especially the girl whose friend had to leave.

I agree, great quotes. This is something that affects everyone, so there’s definitely no shortage of opinion and everyone can basically say something about it

This was pretty interesting, and except for those little “blips” it flowed well and had some pretty good quotes

Hey thanks, I tried to tighten up the audio to get rid of the blips. It should sound better now.
